Probably the prettiest visit so far, the lake is a very turquoise blue, is surrounded by lovely hills/mountains, and has the famous island in the middle. We liked it so much we cycled round it twice – mind you its only 5kms round. In between we sandwiched 3 blasts on the summer luge run, in the winter it is a red ski run.
Then time for a swim in the lake before heading to the top hotel the Toplice, for coffee and a slice of the (famous ?) kreme retzina cake, and jolly yummy it was too. Temperature back in mid 30s again, but seem to be getting used to it, not sure what we will do when we get back to cold old blighty.
