I seem to have put a curse on WiFi at present. At the last site in Germany (07/07 -11/07) I had a connection. However the site server had some filter software to stop users going to ‘unapproved’ sites shall we say. Pretty useless as it blocked me from accessing my blog, but still let me log on to facebook – what is the difference ? I would cite this as an example of state interference and even censorship.
So to Slovenia, yippee free WiFi but the thunderstorm on the first night blew the antenna. The other problem I have is the laptop only has an old wireless B adapter, it seems the last few sites have upgraded to N and only backward support G not B. Annoying thing is I have USB G & N adapters at home but did not think to bring along.
